From the Sec. Desk October: From the Master (Adam T. Panstingel, W.M. 937-443-0573): NOTE: We have changed the web location. The change occured in early September! We will maintain both sites through the end of October.
Greetings Brethren,
Well, I suppose that the time has come to exchange the lawnmower for the leaf rake and the shorts for the sweatshirts. I suppose that many of you will now take up the great weekend tradition of rooting for your favorite Ohio team. I am sure others are practicing their aim and scouting out the hot spots for napping, I mean hunting. Whatever your favorite October event is, enjoy it.
October also means time for Grand Lodge. This year Grand Lodge will be at the Renaissance Hotel in Cleveland on October 15-16. This is the time when all lodges within the state are represented and will vote on issues that effect masons around the state. New Grand Line officers will also be elected. The issues to be voted on will be discussed at our stated meeting on October 7th, so if you are interested in them come to that meeting.
This month we are going to have a speaker from the Greene Memorial Hospital. She will be at the lodge at 7:15 the night of our stated meeting. The talk will be pertaining to the upcoming ballot for funds for the Hospital.
Our stated meeting this month will be October 7th after the speaker finishes. We will have our dinner at 6:30. Everyone is invited to the dinner. We will not have a meeting on the 14th. Those going to Grand Lodge will probably be on their way at that time. The lodge will be performing an Entered Apprentice degree on the 28th at 7pm. Come this night to meet a new brother.
George Phillips of our lodge will be receiving his honorary 33rd degree from the Scottish Rite. The lodge will be presenting him with his white hat on Sunday, October 31st.
Fraternally,
Adam Panstingel, WM

From the Sec. Desk September: From the Master: (Adam T. Panstingel, W.M. 937-256-7428) Greeting’s Brethren
I was out riding my bike the other night and before I knew it, the sun went behind the trees and I was caught in the dark. I guess that the lazy days of summer are almost to an end. It also means that Lodge will be starting back up again!! I hope everyone has an enjoyable and prosperous summer.
The temple had a very successful chicken bar-b-q this summer. The day was sunny and cool, and the food was delicious. The money will go to the temple board. If you have never been to a temple board meeting before, maybe you should sit in on one. The temple board does many of the things one does not think about around the temple. They are in charge of deciding who uses the temple on different nights and who can rent the temple, but they do other things as well. The temple board tries to make improvements to the building, within the budget. They make sure all the utilities are running and paid. In a nutshell, the temple board makes the decisions pertaining to the building. Therefore, if you have any concerns or suggestions, bring them before the temple board or talk to your representative about it.
This month, the lodge will be holding the Entered Apprentice school of instruction for the district. I am excited about having the opportunity to do this. This is where the district deputies will tell us how they expect a degree to be conducted. It is a great chance to ask questions about anything you may want. The written ritual will be at the lodge on that day. The activities will start at 9 on Saturday the 25th.
Our monthly stated meeting will be held on the 2nd of this month. Bring your family to the dinner at 6:30 and stay for the meeting at 7:30. All are welcome to attend. I am sure that WB Bill Keiter will be looking for people to sign up to assist with the popcorn festival the weekend of the 3-5th. He will need help. I am sure that WB Howard Laudermilk would also appreciate if anyone could help with the corn festival that weekend in Wilmington.
We currently do not have any scheduled candidates for this month to receive degree work. However, we have the 16th scheduled for whatever degree work may come up. We will have an EA practice on the 23 at 7.
I hope to see everyone in lodge soon.
Fraternally, Adam T. Panstingel WM
